Out and about

Having recently graduated from the shinobi academy, Ayame had been granted a day to herself out in the village. Normally, the monks who looked after her were a lot more protective, they needed to avoid an incident and the last thing they needed was having the Jinchūriki under their care get kidnapped or killed, it wasn't the safest world out there for someone like her after all. Of course, the first thing she would do was check out the local training grounds, there was sure to be plenty of other young ninja there to practice with. Or maybe some of the more experienced shinobi to watch and learn from.

Unfortunately, the girl would find herself lacking in the new friends department. Most of the other genin would ignore her or run away, no one seemed particularly interested in training with her. Though she could understand why, no point in getting angry at them. Though he didn't speak too often, she knew Kokuō would rather avoid conflict anyway. She found a reasonably secluded place and took a seat. If she wasn't going to get to participate then she could just watch the others from a distance. Ayame would convince herself she didn't mind the seclusion, but couldn't help but look just a little sad.

Nijuu found himself wandering around the training grounds looking for someone to practice with he had recently perfected a hidden technique he had discovered in a scroll, and wanted to try it out against someone in an actual combat situation without having to wait until he was on a mission where the situation would be life or death. If this technique did not work how he had hoped, or even intended it could prove fatal. So it was better for the young genin to try and work the kinks out now. As it stood he knew he was an odd-duck in comparison to most, his love of Ninjutsu, well more specifically a sub-art within it called bunshinjutsu, had kind of left him an easy target to pick on, giving the other kids plenty of ammunition to use against him, such as one of their favorites. You are so lame that even you don't want to hang out with yourself for too long. As he wandered the training grounds, the only people who seemed there for actual training were already paired up with someone. Well except for one young kunoichi, sitting off to one side, her striking white hair looked familiar to the blue-haired young man, though he couldn't quite place it.

Then it dawned on him, she had been in his class at the academy, though he honestly couldn't remember seeing her much outside of school, almost as if after the final bell each day she disappeared, well kind of like a Ninja. As she seemed to be intently watching the others training, he had a feeling that she was hoping to find a partner to train with but the others seemed to be avoiding her for some reason, so he approached her, worse thing she could do is turn him down and tease him, wouldn't be the first time that has ever happened. Hell not even the first time that day. "Hi, um good morning I am looking for a sparring partner, and I would be most appreciative it you be it."

The girl was startled, she was paying so much attention to the other ninja she almost jumped when the boy greeted her. She blinked those crimson eyes a few time and brushed her hair back into place. "Oh, sorry. Didn't see you there" it took her a moment to realize what the boy was asking. A sparring partner? She couldn't remember ever being asked to train with someone like that. "With me? Are you sure?" It was like he didn't know who she was. A sparring match with her might cause some issues, her abilities could be quite dangerous even with her relative lack of experience. In fact, the lack of experience could make it even worse. "Okay! Sounds good" She decided to go against her instincts and really have fun with her day out!

"What did you want to practice? I'm not very good at taijutsu..." Most of her time had been spent learning about ninjutsu, to properly utilize her bijuu's power and keep it under control as well as she could. She stood up, stretching a bit before offering him a hand "I'm Ayame by the way! What's your name?" She would shake his hand before letting go to clasp them behind her back as she waited for a bit of direction in this whole thing.

The young Kunoichi seemed to be out of it as Nijuu approached, and when she finally realized what he was asking she seemed to be rather taken aback, almost like he had asked for more than a simple training match, before finally agreeing. Taking her hand as she offered it Nijuu smiled, realizing that in his fervor to try out his new technique he had forgotten to give out his name, "Hi, I am Nijuushin, A pleasure to meet you, and yeah, I am sure unless there is a good reason you think it would be a bad idea. Oh and don't worry about not being particularly skilled with Taijutsu, I am barely passable at it myself. As for what I wish to practice, there wasn't anything in particular I was after practicing, more like trying to get a feel for a new jutsu in an actual combat situation."

"You know, without it being actual life and death, because there would be no worse time to realize your jutsu's won't do what you want them too than when that ability is needed to save your life. So long as your specialty isn't illusions, then you will be perfect for what I have in mind" A large goofy grin spread across Nijuu's face as he finished his little spiel, he would take a few steps away before taking up a fighting stance similar to that of a boxer, his right foot in the lead, his body turned slightly so that his right side was closer to Ayame, his hands up high guarding his face. "Well Ladies first,"

Ayame would simply nod at the boy, he seemed nice enough at least, she wondered exactly what he had in mind if they weren't going to be testing their taijutsu. It just so happened that Ayame wanted to test out her own technique, though it was one she had recently gone on to master... Though 'master' might be too strong a word, she hadn't got to use it on anyone just yet. "Okay! This should be fun" She nods eagerly, moving away a short distance as Nijuu would go on a little spiel as she prepared herself for their sparring session, in which she was granted the first move!

Instead of rushing in to attack, as some might have tried, the girl would immediately perform a series of hand-seals as she apparently inhaled deeply. Nijuu would see a water bullet flying in his direction, possibly a little off target, it looked like it was going to fall a bit short. However, she had managed to sneak in a little surprise! The second it hit the ground, it would erupt in a thick cloud of steam, spreading out quickly to cover the area. Truth be told, the girl didn't know exactly what this jutsu was capable of, but she didn't think an ability granted by Kokuō couldn't be too dangerous. All of her conversations had been rather nice, if a little too formal for her tastes. Though Nijuu might realize he was dealing with a potentially dangerous young girl here, if not outright figure out what she was from the jutsu alone.

Nijuu watched as as Ayame readied herself, once he had signaled her that she could beging she started off almost exactly as he had expected when she had mentioned her ineptitude at Taijutsu flowing immediately into a chain of handseals. Not wanting to be caught in whatever she was planning, Nijuu started moving immediately working his way around in a circle, almost like he was flanking her, in a full sprint, keeping her in his vision the full time. He watched as she inhaled deeply, expecting some kind of fireball attack the young genin readied to leap out of the way mid stride, as she exhaled though he saw it wasn't fire but water. Either way it would hurt to be hit by it so he dove forward catching himself on his hand as he flipped back up on his feet. Sparing a glance to where he was when she fired he was glad he had dodged, the grass in that area had corroded away. Swallowing hard he rushed her, making a cross with the middle and index finger of both hands he performed his newest Jutsu, the Shadow clone technique, creating an exact duplicate of himself.

As they continued to approach both Nijuu and his duplicate started performing handseals, as they finished the last seal suddenly there was six more copies of Nijuu, all eight of them circling around the white haired Kunoichi, creating a ring. One of the six that had been created by Nijuu and his clone rushed in at Ayame's front throwing a straight punch hoping to disrupt any jutsu she was planning on using, Nijuu himself was off to her right, while his shadow clone was to her left. Cloud Clones were positioned at 10, 12, 2, 4, 6, and 8 in reference to Ayame, depending on where she tried to retreat the closest Nijuu would try to strike her.

Ayame didn't have time to notice the corrosive effects of her jutsu, in fact by the time the steam had cleared she was completely encircled by a bunch of clones. She furrowed her brow a little, trying to pick out the real one until one would rush forward. The girl wouldn't attempt to barge her way through the clones however, instead leaping high into the air whilst she formed handseals, avoiding the initial strike and gaining just a little distance. With the final handseal formed, she would exhale once more, though this time instead of water a great gout of fire would crash into the ground and quickly spread outwards. Her aim was to use the flames to kill off a few of the clones and maybe give her sparring partner a bit of a scare. It wasn't exactly common for a genin to have access to two different elements, particularly right out of the academy. Either way, she would land moments later, hopefully with fewer clones to contend with.

Nijuu caught the tensing of the young kunoichi's legs as one of his clones rushed into her, and apparently he wasn't the only one as four of his cloud clones leaped backwards as well avoiding the blaze that the young kunoichi spat out. Unfortunately the cloud clone who had went in for the punch was not so lucky taking the full brunt of the blast. Another of Nijuu's cloud clones and the shadow clone had gotten hit with the splash of the fireball as well. This proved to be both a good thing and a bad thing for the young bunshin specialist. As his Shadow clone dissipated some of the chakra that his copy had, had returned to him. Unfortunately with the slight recovery of his reserves came with a fresh memory of just how hot a fireball can be.

"So based off of what I have seen so far, you can use Katon, Suiton, and I am guessing what killed all of that grass over there would be Futton, That is pretty impressive for someone as fresh out of the academy as me" One of the cloud clones would say as the rest of them stood around passively their hands behind their collective heads, a huge grin on their faces. Though he was taking a quick breather so that they could chat he was already planning his next few moves to try and get this under way.

The attack had worked, well mostly, the fireball had managed to sear a few of the clones leaving only five remaining. The girl was ready to continue straight away, but it would seem that Nijuu had stood back with his remaining clones. It was a little odd really, she still couldn't tell which one was real among them, or if he was really talking to her. Really it could have been any one of them. Ayame had the feeling that Nijuu might really specialize in his clones, she hadn't seen anyone use quite so many at once before, it was kind of impressive. Even if she didn't know that they had all been rather more advanced versions of the clone technique that she knew.

"Well, I don't think I would be able to if I didn't have Kokuō with me" A very odd thing to say, at least if the boy didn't know the names of the tailed beasts. "It's not all bad being a Jinchūriki I guess, and I've only just started to learn how to work with him" Ayame paused and sighed, preparing for the boy to call off the whole thing, not everyone had a positive reaction to finding out and generally it was about the time when she told them that they'd cut all ties and leave her all alone once more.

"Oh so you are a Jinchuuriki, that explains that a bit. I guess this Kokuo you mentioned gives you traits similar to one of the hybridization bloodlines, making it easier for you to merge elements than it would be for someone like me." Nijuu would say, there was no sign of fear or worry in his face or voice. He was actually excited to meet a host of one of the legendary tailed beasts. This combined with the successful test of his Kage bunshin has made his day one of the best he has had in quite a while. "I guess that makes us both social outcasts. Well I managed to test what I wanted to, and it was a resounding success. I will leave it up to you whether or not we continue, If you wish to we can pick up where we left off on my move, else we could go get a bite to eat or something"

The smile on all of the clone's faces was as sincere as it could get, in his mind he was thinking of all of the things he could do to make this Ayame his friend. It was no fun being outcasts, especially when it was caused by the ignorance of others. And if he could help save her from that by being her friend that would be awesome. Plus who knows what he can learn from a Jinchuuriki, be it how to better manipulate his chakra into different elements, or other tricks that he could adapt from the skills that the bijuu teaches it's host. Though that would just be a bonus to the young bunshinjutsuuist.

Ayame blinked in surprise, he didn't seem to be concerned at all. It wasn't even some insincere gesture on his part, at least it didn't seem that way. She had met a few people who had been mostly civil with her, but generally it was out of pity rather than genuine interest. "You're not scared at all?" The girl seemed to be cautiously optimistic, like it never happened this way. Though she couldn't imagine someone like him being an outcast, but was thankful for maybe finally having someone to talk to outside of the monks at the temple for once, as nice as they were.

"What were you testing? How many clones you can make?" She apparently hadn't noticed what had happened, or what the boy had managed to do. So she made her best guess and waited. She wasn't sure if she wanted to keep training, her abilities tended to be rather destructive and she didn't want to chance scaring off her new friend so soon. It might be best to work out exactly what was going on before they continued, plus it would make Kokuō happy to end the conflict, even if it was simply a training bout. No point in making him mad. "We can just talk for a while if you'd like" Ayame would finally suggest.

"Why should I be?" was all Nijuu could say in response to her question about him not being afraid, as near as he could tell there was no reason to fear the kunoichi before him, while her ninjutsu was quite destructive, and could be lethal if he was to be hit with it directly. With a wave of his hand his remaining clones dispersed with a crackle of electricity, seeing as they were going to have a friendly little chat. "And no, not the quantity of them, but their quality, more specifically on the first clone I created. It was made with a Kinjutsu known as Kage Bunshin, It has some unique features, such as being solid, able to use jutsu's also when dispersed it can transfer everything it learns back to me. Such as the heat of your flames."

Nijuu would give the young Kunoichi time to process what he had just said before continuing. "Of course I can see the sensory input being overwhelming if you have too many up at the same time." Nijuu would offer out his hand to Ayame as a sign of both friendship and an end to their little training session. "So what would you like to talk about"

"Well... Most of the other kids are, I guess I just got used to everyone being afraid" Though to be fair, Ayame herself was a little afraid of the monster that had been sealed away inside her, even if he had proved to be a mostly peaceful creature. They were certainly a good match for eachother, she tended to be somewhat meek and a more aggressive Bijuu might have caused issues if she couldn't properly stand up to it. Otherwise, she would listen to the boy talk about his clones, which had certainly been interesting in their own right. Even before she was informed about the shadow clones. "Kinjutsu? Isn't that dangerous?" He didn't seem to be afraid of anything. Though of all the kinjutsu he could have learned, the Shadow Clone jutsu was probably one of the safer ones, as long as he was smart about its use.

She gratefully took the boy's hand and shook it before shrugging "I don't know, uhh... Have you been put in a team yet? They haven't actually told me who will be taking over my training yet" It was something she had grown to be a little anxious about if she was honest. Whoever it was, she hoped they wouldn't push her too hard and maybe knew a little about Kokuō to help her learn more about her special skills and maybe properly converse with the beast.

"It can be, more oft than not as much for the user as the intended target." Nijuu agreed, Kinjutsu was forbidden for a reason, but that didn't prevent it from being used, it just restricted who taught/learned it. As she took his hand he gave hers a firm yet not squeezing grip. "No I have not, at least not that I have been told. I think it would be awesome if we end up in a team together though."

Those words had barely left his mouth before he started blushing, he hadn't taken the time to really look before, but now that they were planning on doing more talking and less fighting he noticed just how cute she was, in fact it took quite alot of willpower to keep from saying something that would be both incredibly cheezy, and embarrassing. Something along the lines of 'It would definitely give me something to look forward to each day least'. It was times like this that being a social outcast was bad, because now that he noticed he was talking to a cutie well... lets just say his awkwardness dial got turned to 11. "So.... what is Kokuo like?"

Ayame simply nodded, figuring that he knew more on the subject than she did. Kinjutsu was generally hidden away for a reason however, but she was sure the boy would be safe playing around with such a jutsu. It was nice to know, however, that he wanted to be in a team with her. She smiled and nodded happily, after all, if they did end up in the same team she would get to start off with a friend! "Yeah! Lets hope we get lucky" The girl would nod energetically.

She seemed completely unaware however about his thoughts about her looks, in fact living a secluded life like she had done left there girl mostly oblivious to such things. Truth be told, if it weren't for some of the women around the temple to make sure she looked presentable, Ayame would probably end up a bit of a mess. His next question made her thing however, another thing that she didn't often think about. "Well, he's usually pretty nice. He doesn't talk too much and he's a bit formal" she shrugged "He doesn't like violence very much either. He quite likes the temple I live in, I'm sure he and the monks would get along" Even if those same monks were the ones that had performed the sealing ritual in the first place. "I thought he was scary when I was younger though"
