Uchiha Clan Biography:

The Uchiha are descendants of Indra Ōtsutsuki, the elder son of Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki. Through Indra, the Uchiha inherited Hagoromo's "eyes", granting them powerful spiritual energy and chakra. As part of the so-called "Curse of Hatred" first displayed by Indra, Uchiha are subject to powerful emotions: these emotions typically start as love for a friend or family member that then become overpowering hatred when the object of their love is lost. This loss, whether actually experienced or merely threatened, awakens an Uchiha's Sharingan. It is due to the Sharingan that the Uchiha have received much of their fame and notoriety.

The Uchiha have been fighting the Senju clan for centuries, a rivalry that traces back to the days of Indra and his younger brother, Asura. When the Sage of Six Paths was dying, he selected Asura as his successor, believing Asura's desire for peace through love was better than Indra's peace through power. Indra, driven by his Curse of Hatred, fought Asura to claim what he believed was his birthright. The Uchiha and Senju, descendants of Indra and Asura respectively, continued their battle through the centuries, though none still remembered this reason for their conflict.

By the time of the Warring States Period, the Uchiha and Senju had emerged as the strongest shinobi clans in the world. When one of the fledgling countries of the era would hire the Uchiha to fight in their wars, the opposing side would hire the Senju. The constant warfare between their clans only fueled their hatred, with all Uchiha owing the death of a loved one to an Senju and vice versa. But centuries of conflict began to wear on members of the clans.

Effects: This doujutsu (eye skill) gives one the ability to read Genjutsu, Taijutsu and Ninjutsu and then defeat it. As such, the clan member can view a technique being performed and almost instantly memorize the movements required to be able to complete it, including the needed chakra moldings and seals used. However the clan member cannot copy techniques that are unique to another bloodline and the clan member must have a body capable of meeting the chakra and physical requirements to do the jutsu. This rarely stops the clan member though, as such stressful situations often push their limits farther and allow them to harness their full potential.

The Uchiha clan member is not granted the Sharingan at birth; it is only activated later in life, typically during a time of emotional stress in the heat of battle. The Sharingan itself can be transferred to another non-Uchiha by a medical ninja. Because the recipients body was not born to carry the Sharingan, the eye is always activated and it burns the carriers chakra when used. To lessen the impact of the Sharingan on on the users body, they can keep the eye hidden and out of use. The user not being the original owner does not hinder their ability to progress it to a higher state.

The Sharingan itself contains three tomoe (comma). A higher mastery of the Sharingan can be seen in the creation of a new tomoe in the eye, with three tomoe being the typical highest form of the eye. The rare Mangekyou form is a unique evolution of the Sharingan beyond the three tomoe form, please see its entry for more information. An eye possessing two tomoe can allow the Uchiha clan member to track the movement of an opponent and do some minor copying of an opponents attack. For avoiding incoming attacks, the Uchiha's speed and agility will greatly control whether they can move to avoid it. However, three tomoe will greatly help in this area.

Description: Generally the first version of the Sharingan that any Uchiha activates, the clan members pupil will turn red and develop one of the tomoe. While active the user's ability to perceive genjutsu up to rank C cast by users up to two tiers higher than the wielder. It also the wielder to flawlessly read their targets movements and copy them to a degree, though they can not copy techniques at all yet.

Description: The first evolution of the Sharingan, the clan members pupil will turn red and develop two of the tomoe. Users of this Sharingan level can now predict their opponents moves with greater accuracy. It also grants access to Sharingan Copy Lvl 1.

Description: An eye containing three tomoe will allow the ninja to see the image of an attacker’s next move from the slightest muscle tension in their body. This prevents wasteful movement and allows the Uchiha clan member to conserve much needed chakra in battle. It allows them to synchronize their movement to strike at an area moments before their opponent is even in that spot, essentially allowing them to strike out and hit their opponent before they're even there. While active the user's ability to perceive genjutsu up to rank A cast by users of equal or lower rank than the wielder, and makes the user immune to all visual genjutsu up to B-rank and all other genjutsu of C-rank and below. Users of this Sharingan level can now predict their opponents moves with great accuracy. It also grants access to Sharingan Copy Lvl 2, Sharingan Illusion, and the Magen - Kyouten Chiten (Demonic Illusion - Mirror Heaven and Earth Change).

Description: Spinning the three tomoe in their eyes, the user can create a small illusion that can make the enemy lower his defenses for a moment, leaving an opening for an attack. Immune to anti-Genjutsu techniques and passives (exception being Other Sharingan Users of Equal Rank).

Description: Mirror Heaven and Earth Change is a Genjutsu technique unique to the Uchiha bloodline Sharingan holders. Using the copy and counter functions of the Sharingan eye, the Uchiha clan member can stop the sensory spell cast on their body and reverse it back on their opponent. (Can reverse Genjutsu cast on them up to Rank A back on the initial caster, the redirected jutsu's tier gets increased by one on the target making it harder for them to break out of it.)

Mangekyou Sharingan

The final evolution of the Sharingan, this is the only Sharingan stage that does not actually replace its previous versions of the Sharingan. This is a restricted technique, just because you are an Uchiha with the Sharingan does not mean you will get the Mangekyou Sharingan, in fact the only known way to obtain it as of now is to kill someone important to you.

There is still mystery surrounding the eye and the Uchiha clan itself. Each user develops their own unique looking Mangekyou, which is obtained in mysterious ways. The only known way to obtain the Mangekyou is to kill your best friend. However, there said to be other ways. The Mangekyou allows the user to use up to of Four Legendary Techniques at the cost of it eating away at their vision, that are said to be some of the strongest jutsus in existence.

Description: Sharingan is the blood inheritance limit of the Uchiha Clan. The Mangekyou Sharingan is a legendary doujutsu ability which has only emerged in a few clan members in its history. There is still mystery surrounding the eye and the Uchiha clan itself. Each user develops their own unique looking Mangekyou, which is obtained in mysterious ways. The Mangekyou allows the user to use Legendary Mangekyou Techniques, that are said to be some of the strongest jutsus in existence. The Eternal Mangekyou is an advanced version which requires transplant from someone else, and loses the penalties the normal Mangekyou has. It does, however, cost more chakra to use, due to the lack of other drawbacks.

Description: Tsukuyomi requires eye contact to be performed, trapping the target within an illusion completely under the user's control. Prowess with the technique has allowed users to alter the perception of time with ease within the genjutsu to make a few seconds seem like many days as a means to torture the target. This results in the victim suffering psychological trauma that incapacitates them for a considerable period of time. Only the highest forms of Medical Ninjutsu has been shown capable of curing this psychological damage.

Such a powerful technique is not without its disadvantages however. Due to the complexity of the illusion and the quickness with which it is executed, an enormous amount of chakra is necessary and an added amount of stress is placed on the eye using the technique causing it to temporarily lose some vision (50% blind for the thread). Most sharingan users are able to fight this technique, though not easily nor always successfully, but Sharingan users with shared blood to the user are more likely to break free.

Description: Amaterasu, named for the Goddess of the Sun, is a Ninjutsu technique which uses the Mangekyou form of the Sharingan eye to create a powerful black fire. This jutsu is generated by the right Mangekyou eye. It has been said that anything within the Mangekyou's vision will burn to ash if consumed by the fire. The fire itself is said to burn for 7 days and 7 nights. Because of the amount of chakra needed to use the technique, it can only be used on a very limited basis daily. The user's left Mangekyou eye can be used to freely manipulate the flames, at a lesser cost.

Description: This level of Susanoo will form the uppber body in a skeletal fashion, a complete ribcage and funtioning arms for a much greater offense and defense over Stage 1. At this level, the user is able to form weapons from their chakra for Susanoo to use, but they can only be melee weapons, and only those the user has proficiency with, as Susanoo (at this stage) is an extension of the user. That said, use of this level of Susanoo is not without Risk, as it causes physical pain to the user, akin to feeling like they're on fire. Like all forms of Susanoo, it cannot restore itself from damage. In order to fix damage dealt to Susanoo, the user must dispel it, leaving them vulnerable, and resummon it. This cannot be done in the same post.

Description: The Final, Complete version of Susanoo, Stage 3 creates a fully functional creature with variance in shape and size, even in number of arms or legs. At this level, the user can mold certain objects into the Susanoo to keep forever, be it their own personal weapon or an ancient artifact. Use of this level of Susanoo is dangerous, as it drains an incredible amount of chakra quickly and causes intense physical pain to the user, akin to each of their cells being on fire. Like all forms of Susanoo, it cannot restore itself from damage. In order to fix damage dealt to Susanoo, the user must dispel it, leaving them vulnerable, and resummon it. This cannot be done in the same post.

Description: The user first releases their entire Susano'o in front of them in an unconscious state. They can then physically hold an object in one hand while their other hand is on Susano'o's face. They then release a burst of chakra while the object in their hand disappears and a mark appears temporarily on Susano'o's face, fading within three seconds. The user may seal more than one object within Susano'o at a time, but only one per use of this technique. Afterward, Susano'o is sealed back within the user; the next time they are summoned, they will have access to the object sealed within them, such as a special sword or shield. Susano'o may have a maximum of 3 objects within it, and they may only be used at Stage 3.

Description: This doujutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which uses the Mangekyou Sharingan eye to generate an imploding transportation vortex. To begin, the user changes his normal three tomoe Sharingan into a Mangekyou form. He then focuses on an area of his target. The surrounding area will then warp and collapse in on itself, quickly reducing the surrounding area to nothingness. The technique will transport the focused area away to another location. The technique caused a huge strain on the user, utilizing a great deal of chakra. Unlike the Other Techniques, this Jutsu may be used from either Eye. If Used twice in a four post period forces reversion to Third Tomoe, putting Mangekyo on an 6 post CD.

Description: Ephemeral is a Genjutsu technique started by using only one finger on the casters right hand to catch the targets attention. The target does not have to look into the casters eyes, a glance at the hand itself will be enough. Once inside the illusion, the caster can control the visions the ninja sees. This illusion can also be used to play on the fears of the target, causing them to see and hear those who they care about degrade them.
